The Dean of Students offers two types of scholarships:

Need-Based Scholarships: Awarded based on financial need for one year only, but students may reapply each year.

  • New Students/Freshmen- may apply for a need-based scholarship upon registration to the Technion or after receiving enrollment confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. Eligibility for tuition assistance and the amount of the scholarship can be obtained immediately upon receiving an acceptance letter from the Technion at the registration site for new students- it will prompt you to enter your id number (Israeli/passport no.) and Technion file number.
  • Current Students- may apply each year during the months of July-August; all Technion students are sent an email about application deadlines for need-based scholarships. *Subsequent Dates/Late Submissions – the last two weeks of the spring semester.

Scholarships for Community Action (Perach Tutorial Project)
For managing student community youth projects, scholarships are awarded about 50% of tuition (regardless of a student’s financial situation). Project mentors dedicate at least 4 hours a week with assigned mentees during the project period. PERACH registration is online and takes place at the beginning of the academic year. Register at the Perach's site.

External Scholarships

In addition to scholarships provided through the Dean of Students Office, Technion students are offered merit- and tuition-based scholarships offered through our cooperation with dozens of foundations, nonprofit organizations and programs. More information at the personal assistance unit's site.
